Chris’s sets are all about rhythm which led him to be known as “The one to make you move”. His upbringing together with a genuine interest for the arts have given him musical knowledge beyond his years…and a song library to match. Although specialising in R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, Old Skool Garage and House, you can find him playing the best in pop, indie, funk and rock. Not one to restrict himself, Chris takes pride in pushing boundaries to explore all areas of music.
Chris’ relationship with music started at a young age. Born in 1989, he was introduced to a variety of genres through the decades by his family, country, motown, reggae, soul and R&B. At the age of 5, he was recording his cassette mixtapes. Following on from his childhood interest, Chris’ growing passion led him to study Music Technology at college and Leeds Metropolitan University.
Having already performed at prestigious venues such as private member’s clubs Raffles (Chelsea) and Library (Covent Garden) and Mayfair’s Funky Buddha, the demand for Chris’s skilled sets and infectious energy is only set to rise. Corporate clients include Lind Group (Triumph Motorcycles, Porsche, BMW Motorcycles and Harley Davidson), The British Army, Tesco and more.
When in the studio, his personal influences include Ryan Leslie, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and J Dilla. However, he is inspired by a spectrum of genres and this shows in his versatility. In 2014 he co-wrote house track ’A New World’ with The Str8jackets.
In between his live DJ sets, he’s assistant road manager to 90’s artist Baby D and is currently working on his first EP which he plans to release towards the end of 2020. Future goals include securing a club or bar residency, more international gigs and collaborating with other artists on creative projects.
